For this week’s HomeTalkUSA “Invent America” segment, host Rita Crompton discusses “Ready, Set, Go! Off to ASD Market Week!” with Andrea Vaughan, inventor of Pet Feeder on Wheels. Andrea Vaughan is a first generation Italian-American, one of four children. Growing up in a creative environment, Vaughan utilized a seemingly inherited “creative” gene making gift baskets, crafts, and other hand-made items. Though most of Vaughan’s career spans many years as an administrative professional, Vaughan is currently working on establishing a new business in product design and development with a first patent pending invention of a pet feeding product for in-home or travel use.
I have always been a creative thinker and loved problem solving. My career has mostly been in Accounting for Technology industries; but have also been in medical and communications industries. I had a child late in life and that’s when I began designing products. I saw the need for new baby products. Now as I look forward to retirement, I have the time to return to my love of product design with hopes of actually bringing an idea to the marketplace. I hold a provisional patent and am currently moving forward to gain a full patent and potential Licensing Agreement.
