become an expert on every aspect of it.
That can lead to unnecessary delays in getting to market. Time is
not you friend in the inventing realm.
The best resource I can recommend to you is a FREE one! Go to my website and download the Inventor’s Galaxy Guide (IGG). It’s designed in a workbook format that will take you about 30 minutes to read through.
I also recommend that you find a local inventors’ group to join. You can also join a virtual group like the Archimedes’ Offspring Meetup group if you can’t find a local group, or if you just prefer to do an online one. Regardless of which style you prefer, they can be a great resource for getting help, advice and questioned answered from others who have already gone through the process.
Make a plan for the process and understand how to manage the costs in each phase. The IGG will help you understand the phases and the costs associated with each. A dollar mistake in any one of these phases can potentially result in the end of your journey.
Lastly, be honest with yourself and your goals. This simple truth is you won’t be able to go this alone. It’s best to focus on doing the steps you have the knowledge and skill to do well, and then seeking help from service providers to complete the steps you don’t. And don’t be embarrassed if you decide that coming up with the great idea is all you do well. It’s best to be honest with yourself and get help where you need it than try and do important steps poorly.
